Session 2   (March 13 2024)

A word about AI

This session will consider the issue of artificial intelligence tools and how AI tools can be used in study.  We shall look at how such tools should be employed and what practices should be avoided.  We shall also consider how to reference the use of AI tools and how to get the best out of AI.

Session 3   (March 20 2024)

What can I do to avoid academic misconduct?

In this session, we’ll consider what can cause people to take shortcuts and stray into areas of academic misconduct.  We shall look at issues of managing time, reading and note making strategies along with the importance of seeking understanding when trying to write.

Session 4  (March 27 2024)

Effective Paraphrasing

In this session we shall look at the challenges of taking the words of another author and then trying to craft these into your own words (paraphrasing).  This is never easy but we shall look at how to go about this more effectively because this is an essential skill in academic study.
