Popular Beliefs and Reading the Future

An opportunity to practise your spoken English, as we progressively focus on building your vocabulary around these topics with the help of some cross-cultural discussion, finishing with your own hypotheses about the future.

Session 2
Making Small Talk

Being an employee requires communicating with people you have never met and know nothing about. This can be daunting. This session allows you to develop confidence in these situations and equips you with communicative strategies you can use in business settings and more widely.

The session will involve the development of key communication and, networking skills. There will be a variety of forms of interaction including pair and group work.

Session 3

Idiomatic English

Helping each other 'to see the light' as you are introduced to some common idioms - an essential part of understanding and using English in informal contexts. The session is focused on speaking practice and vocabulary-building using different language-based activities; so by the end, you'll be 'over the moon' with what you have learnt.

Session 4
Perfect Company

In this session you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in putting forward an informal proposal in a work environment, as well as in responding appropriately to ideas that are suggested by others.

The session will involve the development of key communication skills, including proposing ideas, responding to suggestions made by others and negotiating with others. There will be a variety of forms of interaction including pair and group work.
