Mindfulness Workshop

Mindfulness Workshop In-Person

There is a growing interest in how mindfulness practices improve human health and wellbeing. Many clinical studies document the effectiveness of Mindfulness in combatting stress and alleviating symptoms associated with anxiety and depression. Such practices have proven to benefit overall health and performance through increasing cognitive/brain functioning, lowering blood pressure and heart rate and improving overall immune function.

Bringing ourselves into the present moment is a huge challenge. We often find ourselves running on autopilot. Our minds are constantly busy, driving us to constantly ‘do’. Whether it be planning the day ahead, worrying about the future or ruminating on the past, we often lose focus on the present. The aim of this workshop is to introduce practical techniques which will help you to experience each moment as it comes. Gaining an awareness of the present can help us to understand our bodies and assist us in learning new ways of handling our thoughts and emotions.
