Paragraphing, Signposting Language and Citing Evidence - Avery Hill / Greenwich / Online

Paragraphing, Signposting Language and Citing Evidence - Avery Hill / Greenwich / Online In-Person

Writing in clearly defined paragraphs is an essential feature of academic writing.  This session will focus on how to structure paragraphs.  It will also look at matters such as the length of paragraphs and the use of signposting language.  Signposting language is important because this enables the reader of your work to be led smoothly, point by point, through your work, so that it has a clearer focus.  Effective paragraphing makes a very large contribution to the clarity of a piece of writing. This session will also cover how to use citations in your work.
