Copyright Essentials for Researchers (Online) Online
This session provides an introduction to the principles of copyright for use in writing and publishing. We will cover the basics of copyright law, exceptions to copyright, including the concept of "fair dealing", and types of licenses that can be applied to theses and publications.
Participants will be confident interpreting and applying copyright licenses to their work, including open access creative commons (CC) licenses, and re-using others’ material.
By understanding copyright and its applications in research writing and publishing, participants will be able to protect and share their work, write with confidence and avoid copyright issues.
Please note this workshop is intended for researchers as part of the PGR Academic and Library Skills Programme.
