The internet and AI can provide information quickly, but it is important to know whether that information is accurate, reliable, and suitable for academic work.
In this session, you will learn how to:
- Search for information more effectively online.
- Evaluate the reliability and credibility of sources.
- Identify trustworthy academic and non-academic information.
- Assess information generated by AI tools.
- Recognise bias, misinformation, and unreliable content.
- Choose appropriate sources for your assignments and research.
By the end of the session, you'll feel more confident finding, evaluating, and using reliable information in your studies.
Session Format:
- 40 minutes of guided content
- 10 minute practical activity
- 10 minutes for recap and question
